HOW OUR PRODUCTS ARE CRAFTED
The Cotton
For the cotton we use, we put our trust in GOTS certified 100% organic cotton and the government yarn banks that ensure cotton yarns are sourced and manufactured using Fairtrade principles.
The Yarn
We prepare our yarn carefully by desizing or removing impurities, priming the yarn by using natural bleach and mordants to ensure efficient absorption of the natural hues and goodness.
The Dyes
Nature provides us with a variety of colors in leaves, flowers, roots and barks of various plants. We carefully extract these natural colors by preparing a 100% vegan broth or Kashayam of 20-30 different herbs using the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. This herbal concoction not only provides natural color but also has therapeutic properties to heal and nurture.
The Coloring
Yarn is infused with goodness from this 100% vegan dye bath at a controlled temperature. Once the yarn has been dyed, it is dried naturally in the shade. Our dye house has been practicing this process for generations and have perfected the art of herbal dyeing using Ayurvedic principles.
The Loom
Once the yarn is dry, infused with the goodness of the herbal concoction, our weavers take over. They weave their magic with the yarn and create exquisite Yoga mats, radiating with positive energies and vibes. A special coating of natural rubber is applied to ensure that the Yoga mat has the grip that will ensure a slip-free yoga practice.
The Packaging
We then pick low impact materials for the packaging of our yoga mats. We use paper that is recycled along with other biodegradable materials for minimising, not just ours but also your carbon footprint.
